1. Open-entrance sensor detection.
Your System will alert you of a possible intrusion by relaying a chime to the base station when an entry sensor is opened and disarmed. The SimpliSafe Mobile App, Keypad, or Web App allows you to adjust the chime’s default setting to medium, but you may also set it to OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH at any time.

2. Voice Prompt
If there are any instructions or issues, your base station will announce them. For instance, your base station will say “SimpliSafe® On, Home.” when you arm your System in Home mode. Voice prompts have a medium volume by default. However, you can adjust it using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App, Keypad, or Web App to OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH.

Also, when the entry sensor is opened, your base station can declare its name using the entry sensor voice prompt. For instance, if you open the front door, rather than hearing the customary chime, your base station may respond with “Front Door Entry Sensor open.”
By configuring this functionality on a per-sensor basis, you can select which entry sensor generates a voice prompt and which one generates a chime.
